Two Hearted is their essential beer. It’s one of those all-time-great IP As, one that’s been around for years but which continues to taste modern, new, and exciting. Imagine all the possible flavors of orange in the world and that’s what Two Hearted tastes like. Orange blossom,
marmalade, candy, candied peel, freshly squeezed juice—and all from just Centennial hops. It’s bitter and just-sweet and the old-school epitome of high drinkability. You might want to time your visit to coordinate with the early-year release of Hopslam, their terrifyingly tasty 10.0% DIPA which is intense, powerful, and wonderful. It’s one of those beer names that people just know; they’ve heard of it and they want to drink it.
Bell’s celebrated their 30th anniversary in 2015. Any American craft brewer that’s in its 30s is worthy of attention. They were there at the beginning and they continue to do things that get both beer geeks and general drinkers excited. Bell’s are one of America’s great craft brewers and The Eccentric Café and General Store is one of America’s great tasting rooms.
