From Sineu we continue through Maria de la Salud and Santa Margarita until we reach Ca’n Picafort about 50 kms. from Palma. This town is situated in a large pine wood, in the middle of the bay of Alcudia. It is a nice resort, with large avenues, full of life in the summer months, it has a fantastic beach. A little more than one km. along the coast may be found the necropolis of Son Real; a prehistoric site of very great interest.
In Majorca there are more than 40 urban areas, tourist residences with their beaches and green areas. In spite of the fact that Ca’n Picafort is one of the most important of these resorts, it has not a direct bus service to Palma as many other smaller ones have.
Ca’n Picafort is the end of the excursion. If one does not want to return to Palma the same way one can complete the journey many other ways. Alcudia and Arta are situated on practically the same road so one can return via either of these places. Also one can return via Petra .(found in the 6th excursion) or via Muro where the Alomar museum may be found.
This museum has a complete collection of hand made tools especially those used in the country. From Muro one can continue to Inca and from there to Palma.Source: Map visits
