In case of bareboat charters, you need to sail it by yourself, as you won’t be provided with a captain. This is very exciting, provided you have prior experience in sailing a yacht. You can always ask for a captain from the service provider if you aren’t confident in taking the yacht on water by yourself.
Do you need Visa and Passport while travelling in yachts?
Yes, every guest on the charter is required to carry valid passports for immigration and custom check at various ports. Visas are provided by the yacht providers when you rent the charter.
Are kids allowed on charter?
There are plenty of things on a charter for kids’ enjoyment. They can simply play on the beach, or indulge in kayaking, and snorkeling. There are crew members dedicated for the enjoyment for kids.
If your kids love scuba diving, then it is even more exciting as the yachts have skilled instructors for scuba diving. There aren’t any restrictions on the age of the kids. However, children under the age of 14 should be supervised by their parents. Kids with age more than 14 years can be supervised by the crew members.
How much luggage is allowed?
Private yachts come with limited storage space. Therefore, it is advised that you bring light luggage for safety reasons. If you have unpacked your bag and unable to fit in the stuffs in the same bag again for some reason, then crew member can help you store the stuffs elsewhere in the charter. However, you need to keep the cases in your cabin itself.
Will you be allowed to drink or smoke in the yacht?
There is a bar in the boat that offers liquor from every part of the world. You have options to have beers, wines, whiskey or any other alcohol depending on your preferences. You will even get options to have vintage wines and champagne.
Smoking is limited while you are on a yacht. While a few may allow smoking, some yachts might not allow smoking for safety reasons. Even on those charters that allow smoking, you can smoke only on the deck and no where else.
