Map of Klazienaveen on Sometimes Engels tried to serve as a moderating influence, raising his voice against extreme emphasis on revolutionary violence. He could not, however, prevent the message of Marx ending up as the basis for the Leninist-Stalinist orthodoxy, shaping some of the most oppressive totalitarian regimes of the 20th century.
