The terms natural consequences and logical consequences are used jointly and interchangeably but have slightly different meanings. Natural consequences are the direct result of a physical act. For example, if you do not eat dinner, you experience hunger. If you do not put your dirty clothes in the laundry, they are not washed. Parents mainly have to stand aside and let the natural consequences occur let the child remain hungry until the next meal or wear dirty clothes.
