Golden Gate National Recreation Area-Marin Although “No Dogs” is the rule, you’ll find notable exceptions. The north end on Stinson Beach, TH62, beyond the GGRNA boundary, is a dog-friendly beach. From Five Brooks Trailhead, TH66, you can take dogs up the Randall and McCurdy trails. The Bolinas Ridge Trail is a nice long dog walk. You can access it from either end of its 11-mile run, at TH83, or TH61. Palomarin Beach, accessed from TH65, is also a dog beach, although the trail is subject to closure. In Bolinas, TH64, dogs are given almost full citizenship Bolinas is not in the GGNRA.

Point Reyes National Seashore
Dogs are not allowed on trails at the seashore, but you will find several great dog beaches: The south end of Limantour Beach, TH69, Point Reyes Beaches, TH76, and Kehoe Beach, TH78.
California State Parks
Although dogs are not allowed on trails at state parks, the north side of Samuel P. Taylor Park offers some pleasing exceptions.
