Central Macedonia City for Such a theorist would be primarily interested in epistemology, that is, in the study of the foundations of knowledge. The norms studied by the epistemologically oriented theorist are the rules or standards that determine when and how something gains the status of knowledge or truth. Certain feminist theorists, for instance, argue that women have different standards for (acquiring or generating) knowledge than do men and that these standards should not be judged inadequate simply because they are unlike those upheld by their male counterparts. Similar arguments have been made regarding the different epistemological standards manifested within particular cultures. (We investigate these claims in more detail in chapter 4.) Since words and deeds, thinking and acting, generally go together in political life, political theorists are usually interested in both epistemology and ethics. Indeed, the distinction between epistemology and ethics is often rather tenuous. Central Macedonia City 2016.
