3 Natural History Museum Ice Rink, London

For one of the UK’s most magical winter experiences, head to the NHM’s famous ice rink. Skate among Christmas trees and fairy lights, before hanging up your skates for a hot choc (or mulled wine). It’s open to all abilities, so don’t worry if you end up flat on your face. Until 7 January, Nhm.ac.uk

4 Magic Roundabout, London

The popular London venue has been transformed for Christmas with a new ‘decades’ inspired theme. Step inside and travel back to the ’60s, ’70s, ’80s and ’90s, with highlights including an ’80s disco and a Woodstock-themed area. DJs and award-winning street food make it a festive must.
